have a mantra

Few of us appreciate being told. Especially how to think or behave.

However, if we consider that all of our lives are filled to the brim (or so we think) then what are we left to manage? Top of the list could be behaviour, and by that I mean how we manage ourselves so that we meet as many moments in our hectic schedules with clarity, presence and calmness.

For the fortunate few, all of this is a natural response to life that is born from rock solid early life hard-wiring and a whole bunch of excellent decisions, all made with learned foresight, sharp judgement and a healthy dollop of good old fashioned luck. If you are in this space, I am incredibly pleased for you and trust that you imbue those lucky enough to be in your wake with a sense of trust and compassion.

Now, most of us will have hacked through life using a patchwork of skills and knowledge picked up along the way. Learning, eventually, from hurried decisions, poor judgement and entirely avoidable outcomes. Benefitting from the odd splash of success then in all likelihood finding ourselves in a position of responsibility, whether in parenthood, business or community.

So I speak to the many, and tell you that there is nearly always a metaphorical path to working things out, making sense of yourself and understanding that you possess almost everything you need to bring your goal into focus at the very least. How you get there is ultimately down to effort, however, once you properly grasp that you are capable today - then what is stopping you?

You will build your own mantra, nobody likes to be told how to think or how to behave, it’s just I’ve built mine up over 20 years or so to be Work Hard, Rest Well, Stay Calm and Keep The Faith!
